Virtual Booth

The objective of this innovation project is to enrich pupils’ vocabulary. The project is conducted at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kampung Titingan and collaborate with 56 schools and 2 institutions. Most of the participants are beginner in learning English. They have very limited vocabulary which make it hard for them to understand the lesson. Vocab Best Applications is a combination of three applications which are Vocab Fun, Vocab Fabulous and Vocab Fantastic. The applications are quiz applications where the pupils need to guess the pictures and remember the names. Using these applications, pupils need to memorize and spell the vocabulary correctly. The applications are free and can be installed through apk files. The apps act as a medium to enrich pupils’ vocabulary and help them to use the vocabulary correctly. The three main data collection methods applied in this project were document analysis, observations and questionnaires. The instruments for the data collection were formative test, observation form and surveys forms. The overall findings of this study showed that Vocab Best Applications were able to help pupils to enrich pupils’ vocabulary, increase students’ engagement, enhance students’ digital literacy and app sales fund 15 tablets for classroom learning.
