TRC204: IMMERSIVE SPANISH LANGUAGE LEARNING: EXPLORING SPANISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE THROUGH AN INTERACTIVE EXHIBITION

RADHIAH ISMAIL UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA TERENGGANU

Interactive Exhibition Innovation combines Spanish language and culture learning through direct experiences that actively engage students. This approach aims to enhance students’ communication skills and cultural understanding in an authentic environment. In the exhibition, students act as presenters, explaining various topics related to Spanish culture such as traditional food, dance, history, and customs to visitors. Throughout the exhibition, students strive to use Spanish, giving them opportunities to practice in real-life situations while strengthening their confidence and fluency. This immersive and practical approach provides students with firsthand experiences that cannot be gained in traditional classrooms. Visitors are also involved interactively, asking questions and participating in the activities provided, making the exhibition a two-way learning platform. Through these interactions, students not only improve their language skills but also gain deeper and more holistic insights into Spanish culture. The uniqueness of this innovation lies in its ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with real practice, enriching the students’ learning process through the use of visual aids, technology, and direct communication. As a result, students become more motivated, confident, and prepared to use Spanish in real-life contexts. This innovation not only strengthens language proficiency but also opens the door to a deeper understanding of global cultures, making learning more relevant and comprehensive.
