This concept paper introduces an innovative auditing dashboard powered by artificial intelligence, designed to detect fraud in real time using advanced machine learning and intuitive data visualisation. Traditional auditing methods often rely on manual checks and fixed standards, which makes it difficult to catch fraud as it happens. In response, this dashboard integrates live data streams with AI models such as Random Forest, autoencoders, and isolation forest to quickly flag unusual patterns and suspicious activities in financial records.
Unlike conventional approaches, this smart system is built to improve both the speed and accuracy of fraud detection. A working prototype will be developed to demonstrate how automated, real-time monitoring can transform the audit process. What sets this dashboard apart is its user-friendly visual interface that helps auditors quickly interpret results and make informed decisions, along with adaptive AI algorithms that evolve with emerging fraud tactics.
This project contributes to the growing use of AI in forensic accounting and aligns with broader goals of digital transformation and good governance. Designed with flexibility in mind, the system can be tailored for use by various organisations, from small businesses to regulatory agencies, and holds strong potential for future commercialisation. Ultimately, it marks a shift from static, traditional audits toward intelligent, dynamic monitoring, bringing a new level of proactivity and confidence to financial oversight.
