The need to shows the hacking process for introductory level student is necessary as the module itself is deem too technical compared with other computing discipline. Therefore, an initiative has taken to develop a vulnerable system that can be launch locally so that the student could launch attack to the site. Ideally, the student will use virtual machine to connect to the system. This also teach student the network architecture needed to launch the attack though the connection between the virtual machine and the system. Apart form that, the system also tech the student how the database and the system can be manipulated, as well as insecure coding practices that most of the developer overlooked when developing the such system. The system also highlights the importance of port security and its mitigation. As for the initiatives, it is hope that the system could help the student to understand more on the subject matters consequently cultivate the interest in the field of cyber security.
