JatiBahasa is a mobile application developed to help Malaysians from diverse ethnic backgrounds
master standard Bahasa Malaysia. Many Malaysians face difficulties using the national language
correctly due to the influence of their native dialects and confusion with Bahasa Indonesia. These
challenges affect communication, especially in schools, workplaces, and public services. To solve
this, JatiBahasa offers four key features: Text Checker, Pronunciation Correction, Daily Practice,
and Fluency Score. These tools aim to improve writing, speaking, and overall language
confidence. The app is guided by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) standards to ensure proper
usage and help users distinguish between Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Indonesia. JatiBahasa
encourages equal access to language learning, benefiting students, teachers, professionals, and
civil servants. Its easy-to-use design and interactive practice make it suitable for all ages,
including those in rural and underserved areas. The app also supports national efforts to
strengthen the use of Bahasa Malaysia and foster a shared identity among citizens. From a
business perspective, JatiBahasa is affordable and scalable. It can be introduced through free
and premium versions, with options for institutional licenses and industry-specific modules. There
is strong potential for adoption by schools, government bodies, and private companies. In short,
JatiBahasa is more than a language tool, it is an inclusive and practical platform to promote
effective communication, education, and national unity.
