ABSTRACT

This innovation of teaching and learning strategy, Gallery Walk Flipped Classroom (GWFC), incorporates Gallery Walk learning activity into Flipped Classroom teaching strategy. In flipped classroom, learners view online lecture videos and notes outside class time and complete assignment during class time. Through Gallery Walk, they move around a learning space to view and analyze displays of information on a particular topic.  A study utilized a quasi-experimental design with pre- and post-tests to measure the learning achievement of the GWFC for a language acquisition among diploma learners.  The findings showed that GWFC learners scored significantly the highest compared to standard flipped classroom (FC) and traditional classroom (TC) learners.  Quantitatively, GWFC learners show a significant difference in achievement means between before and after the experiment.  The combination of Learner-centered learning theory and Triple E Framework in GWFC improves learners’ autonomous learning and communication skills thus affects learning positively.
