Abstract for Project
Electric chillers consume nearly 40% of energy in commercial buildings, a figure that is even more critical in tropical climates. CoolThermoTrack is an innovative mobile application designed to make chiller performance analysis both accessible and practical. Unlike conventional IoT-based monitoring systems, it functions offline, enabling real-time thermodynamic evaluation in any environment. By inputting key operational parameters, the application instantly calculates vital performance indicators including enthalpy, entropy, coefficient of performance (COP), and isentropic efficiency while generating precise temperature-entropy (T-S) diagrams. Advanced features such as historical trending, anomaly detection, and integrated refrigerant databases provide facility managers, engineers, and auditors with actionable insights for energy optimisation. Beyond operations, CoolThermoTrack also serves as an interactive teaching tool, bridging the gap between theoretical thermodynamics and real-world HVAC applications. Its versatility creates value across three primary segments: professional HVAC practice, academic instruction, and energy auditing. Through proprietary algorithms and a standalone mobile platform, CoolThermoTrack demonstrates how mobile technology can democratise advanced thermodynamic analysis, reduce operational costs, and support sustainability goals. This innovation redefines refrigeration learning and practice, which are delivering smarter, greener, and more accessible cooling solutions.
