Baba and Nyonya beaded shoes, also known as ‘Kasut Manik’, have become an iconic symbol for their ethnicity and cultural identity. It also draws a lot of interest from tourists to come and get their hands on the exquisite handicraft. However, the continuity of the legacy might force it to cease, as it did not attract interest among the youngsters of the community. Primed with the Technology Acceptance model, an augmented reality interactive storybook of Kasut Manik was developed, as an effort to
promote Kasut Manik among youngsters and tourists, as it offers a more in-depth perspective in promoting Kasut Manik.
